campers and director Martha K.Dear Parents, Staff, and Community Members of Camp Shalom.

I hope that you and your loved ones are keeping safe, healthy, and well. I can’t believe we’re already in 2021. Even in such a time of uncertainty around COVID-19, the days just seem to be flying by. Before we know it, Summer 2021 will be upon us. I hope you share my excitement as preparation for summer is already off to a great start.

Great news! Camp Shalom is back! Summer 2021 June 1-August 6

For over 45 years, we’ve been the day camp of choice of our community and Tulsa.  We take that responsibility seriously. Camp is a place where kids can explore new skills, meet new friends, and build leadership so together we can shape the future of our community.

The health and safety of our entire camp community is paramount. I am still heartbroken on pressing “send” on my email last May cancelling camp for Summer 2020. Looking back, I know we made the right decision for the health and safety of our community, and I am thankful to our community for their support of this tough decision.

Campers and staff need camp more than ever before, and I do too. Camp is an incredible thing and we all miss the social connections and everlasting friendships that we make.  We miss the fun and games that keeps us all laughing and smiling each and every day. We look forward to spending time away from our screens and technology to appreciate and embrace the beautiful outdoors.

Registration for Summer 2021 will start March 1st.

  • Hold your camper’s spot while space is available. COVID-19 is still very much a fluid situation, and we cannot be certain at this time of the number of campers we can safely accommodate this summer.  Registrations will be honored on a first-come, first-serve basis. By registering March 1st, you are far more likely to have a secured spot for your camper rather than waiting until after spring break.
  •  All it takes to hold your spot is a $50/week deposit at the time of registration. The balance of camp fees are not due until the start of each week.
  • Don’t feel stressed about registering early with our new Worry-Free, No-Questions-Asked Cancellation and Refund Policy until May 15, 2021. We understand that this is very much still a time of uncertainty. This is why we are giving you plenty of time and flexibility around your decision-making for Summer 2021.

There are a lot of great things to come at Camp Shalom!  Make sure you follow the Charles Schusterman JCC on facebook and Instagram as we share more great news and updates.

I wish everyone all the best in health and happiness. Summer 2021 is going to be the best summer ever. Join us!
