Summer Shlichim Hosting

Opening your home to an international counselor is a rewarding way to build global friendships and bring a piece of Israel into your family’s summer.

Here is what you need to know about the hosting experience:

  • Accommodations: Families can host one or both counselors (this year, both counselors are female). To ensure their comfort and privacy, each counselor must have their own dedicated bedroom.
  • Duration: We offer flexible hosting for one week or more. Longer stays are highly encouraged, as they allow for deeper bonds and a more immersive experience for both the family and the counselor.
  • Meals: Host families provide breakfast and dinner. Lunch is provided daily by the camp.
  • Transportation: Counselors follow the camp schedule. Hosts are responsible for drop-off and pick-up. Drop-off is at 8:30 AM and pick-up is at 4:30 PM, coinciding with regular camper hours.
  • Evening & Weekend Life: We encourage families to include counselors in fun local activities and evening experiences. While they love to socialize, please remember they are responsible for their own time and require periods of rest to recharge and connect with their peers. Open communication regarding schedules is the key to a great experience!
